The most recent, detailed information about the role that faith and
the activity of faith communities across the Black Country has come
from the new survey carried out in the autumn of 2006 by The Black
Country Net. Researchers contacted 750 churches, faith communities
and faith-based projects in order to assess the contribution they are
making to revitalising life in their communities and meeting the real
social, economic as well as spiritual needs of local people.
